Easy Chicken Fried Rice Recipe | Homemade Chinese Recipe
Introduction
Chicken Fried Rice is one of the most popular homemade Chinese recipes. It's quick, flavorful, and a great way to use leftover rice. With tender chicken, fresh vegetables, fluffy eggs, and savory soy sauce, this dish is perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
2 cups cooked rice (preferably cold)
200g boneless chicken (small cubes)
2 eggs
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 small onion (chopped)
½ cup carrots (diced)
½ cup green peas
2 spring onions (chopped)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
½ teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Chicken
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan. Add the chicken, season with a little salt and black pepper, and cook for 6–8 minutes until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Eggs
Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan. Beat the eggs, pour them into the pan, scramble them, and set aside
Step 3: Stir-Fry the Vegetables
Add garlic and onion to the pan and sautĂ© for 1 minute. Add carrots and green peas and cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
Step 4: Add the Rice
Add the cooked rice and stir well to combine with the vegetables.
Step 5: Season
Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sau (optional). Add black pepper and mix everything thoroughly.
Step 6: Finish the Dish
Add the cooked chicken, scrambled eggs, and chopped spring onions. Stir-fry for another 2–3 minutes.
Serving Suggestion
Serve hot with chili garlic sauce, ketchup, or a bowl of hot
soup.
Tips
Use cold, day-old rice for the best texture.
Cook on high heat for a restaurant-style flavor.
Add bell peppers or sweet corn for extra color and taste.
